Robert Tyrrell is a lifelong MI based artist with over 40 years of experience in the commercial illustration industry working for various Detroit based advertising companies. While well known for his nautical oil paintings including the soulful "Old Salt" fishermen and lighthouse keepers, as well as Great Lakes freighters and other historic watercraft, Robert enjoys working with all mediums and subjects from wildlife to historical aviation. Retired from the advertising world, he continues to draw and paint daily, exploring his creativity wherever his imagination takes him.
